How do I Share the URL for a Lesson From the Administration Area?
Many times you will want to send the url for a lesson to customer or other user. This lesson will show you how to easily get the urls for those lessons from the administration area.
What You Need to Understand First
First, it is important to understand that your customers/viewers can only see lessons that have been placed in a bucket or manual that is then part of a space. If the lesson is not in a space then you will not be able to give anyone access to it, unless you set them up as an author or admin on your account (which you probably don't want to do).
To sum up, you want to give users the url for lessons that are in a space, not the url for the lesson in the admin area.
Get Published URLs
When you are viewing a list of lessons in Lessons, Buckets, or Manuals tabs you will see an information icon. Click on it.
Copy URL
A popup window will appear listing the spaces for the selected lesson. The title contains the following information:
1. The name of the space ("ScreenSteps").
2. The name of the bucket/manual ("Customizing HTML Templates").
3. The name of the lesson ("What is an HTML Template?").
You can either click on the url to go to the lesson or copy the url to send to someone.
NOTE: If the lesson is not in any space you will see a message telling you so.
