Image Sizes for ScreenSteps Live |
||||
|
This lesson will describe how image sizes are determined on ScreenSteps Live.
When the lesson is exported to ScreenSteps Live the image size will be determined by the current size of the image in ScreenSteps Desktop. In this example we can see that the image has been scaled to 79%.
If we hover over the image scale setting we can see the dimensions of the original image and the output. The output size is what will be used for ScreenSteps Live.
Here I have rescaled the image to 100%. You can see that now the output and the original sizes are the same. Image Size on ScreenSteps Live
The maximum width for an image on ScreenSteps Live is currently 640 pixels. If the image you upload is wider than 640px then a scaled down version will be created and displayed on your lesson page. The original will be stored and a "Zoom" link will appear next to the image. If your image is smaller than 640px in width then nothing will be done to it and no "Zoom" link will appear. Image Scaling Setting
ScreenSteps will automatically scale your images on import depending on the setting you have in your preferences (the original, full size image is always stored). In my setup I have the scaling set to allow a max width of 640px. That means by default none of my images will have a "Zoom" link on ScreenSteps Live. If I want an image to have a "Zoom" link then I scale the image up as shown below.
