Using Auto Snap with SnagIt 8.0

Introduction

ScreenSteps can integrate with other screen capture utilities. This lesson will show you how to setup SnagIt (Windows) so that images you capture with SnagIt will automatically be added as new steps in ScreenSteps.
In this lesson we are using SnagIt version 8.1.

Select SnagIt Task Bar Icon

Select the SnagIt Task Bar icon to activate the SnagIt menu.

Set Output to Clipboard

This is important. You MUST set the output to Clipboard for ScreenSteps to add the captures as steps.

You will probably want to deactivate the Preview Window option as well.

Activate Auto Snap

Make sure that Auto Snap is activated in ScreenSteps. Now everything you capture with SnagIt will be automatically added to ScreenSteps as a new step.
