Sharing ScreenSteps Lessons with Other Users of ScreenSteps

This lesson will show you how to export a ScreenSteps lesson as a package. The package can then be imported into another ScreenSteps library for further editing. This is a how you can send lessons between yourself and another user of ScreenSteps.

Note: This feature was introduced in version 2.0.2.

Select Lesson

Select the lesson you want to export.

Select File > Export Lesson as Package

Choose a place to save it on your hard drive and give it a name. Once it is saved you can email it to a colleague.

Import a Package

If you receive a package just select File > Import. Choose the package file from your hard drive. It will be imported into your library.

I don't consider that "sharing" in the usual sense on a personal computer. If you could share the same ScreenSteps Library between two or more computers, that would be sharing. It is more like publishing to colleagues with ScreenSteps' app. At least, it is a good way to a collaborative work.

Thanks,

Very cool. We need to have multiple team members working from home. I think we can work within the current limitations of this sharing of packages approach. I realize as a software developer myself that you have lots of work and appreciate this as a great start.
